Technical Ropework Workshop
A chance to explore ‘mechanical advantage’ under the expert guidance of Franco Ferrero, the author of White Water Safety and Rescue. A practical session looking at how to get the most out of a few pulleys and karabiners in a boat/raft recovery situation.

 

 

 
Franco Ferrero 
Franco is the managing director of Pesda Press and still occasionally manages to fit in some freelance coaching (he is a BCU Level 5 Coach). His interests are white water and sea kayaking, rock and ice climbing, and ski-mountaineering. His current passion is a 29 foot yacht called ‘Firebird’.
He has paddled throughout the UK and in many parts of the world including Nepal, Scandinavia, the coast of Brittany in France, the European Alps, Peru and Western Canada.
